The opening day of documenta, we noticed this man being led around the outside area as a kind of prisoner. We never saw him after the first day.We also saw a Chinese man perched on a large chair, almost like a lifeguard chair. He had some signs in his hand, appearing to be protesting something. We never saw him again, either.
You may have followed on my blog the plan that Ai Weiwei had to bring 1001 Chinese people to Kassel, Germany. They are to stay in a converted space and attend the show. I believe they will be interviewed, but I haven't read anything about this yet.
