Biennale- Japanese Pavilion

Here we had an opportunity to do a rubbing. The stones were taken from a train station in the old ujina station in Hiroshima city. Masao Okabe, the artist, has spent 9 years depicting towns and architecture. These come from bombed stones. You can read more about this technique called frottage.
